THE TIMES THEY ARE A CHANGIN'
More than a year ago, the MMOA Board appointed a task force to look ahead—to envision Mountain Meadows in the future. The past year has been spent assessing where we are and what, if anything, needs changing or updating. In July, the Board approved the hiring of consultant, Ed Claausen, and the task force began exploring the possibility of seeking community input through a questionnaire.
It was Jeremy Dailey who asked, "What do we hope to achieve with this questionnaire? Is there a more effective way to get input from the community?" His questions opened the door to new options, and Community Conversations bubbled to the surface. How much better it would be to sit together and generate ideas for the future! What drew us here? What keeps us here? What do we need/want that isn't available? What will future retirees desire/require that are not available now? Ed helped us to create questions to present to residents in three different Community Conversations. In all, more than 100 of our residents participated in the sessions.
The responses were thoughtful and creative and have provided a rich resource for identifying opportunities to make Mountain Meadows even more attractive and more responsive to the needs of the residents. We are also looking forward with the perspective of future generations in mind.
The task force is processing your feedback and will be sharing the information with you. We look forward to engaging you in the process of working for the future of our exceptional community.
